Found this place out in PL, and I have to say, I want to make it mine. Or ours, if my wife is reading this. $2 drafts and reasonably priced food. Awesome stuff to look at on the walls. It's a cinder block building for cryin out loud. What's not to like about that? I will say that when we went last, they had the stereo tuned to the radio, so we ended up listening to like 10 minutes of commercials for laser hair removal and other noise. If you are going to feature all that sweet memorabilia on the walls, you ought to be playing awesome music all the time, not that common denominator radio crap. Still, we'll be back. A lot.

I'm officially in love with this place. It's a total dive, but definitely clean enough to satisfy a clean freak like myself. Giant ice cold beers. The nachos were fantastic. Live band was amazing. I couldn't even wait to get home to write this because I'm so happy about finding this place in our new neighborhood.

I showed up to the Cove around 9pm on a Saturday night. The live band was just starting and the place was hopping. It was weird at first since I hadn't visited this place but once since it was Laker's Restaurant in the 80's and 90's. There have been a few business in here since but this one actually seems like it is built to last. A few of the highlights: -Dive bar without being grimy or slummy -Hip music club without being pretentious -Fun menu that matches the music theme. Some of the best burgers around -Reasonable prices -Friendly wait staff -Pick up bait next door in the morning before heading out to the lake and come here for a burger and brew after coming off the lake. -A definite asset to Prior Lake.

Great food, comfortable atmosphere, great place to bring the kids and still enjoy a beer or two. Burgers are the way to go!

It's a Dive Bar but REALLY good pizza, the 12 inch is enough for two people. The fries are greasy goodness and the jalapeno bacon is FIRE in your mouth. I would pass on the appetizers - had the calamari - it was a waste.

Always have a good meal here and the service is good. Great Burger and even a great Puertobell mushroom burger and my kids love the sloppy joes.

I love The Cove and have gone there several times over the past year. I've had the burgers, which are good, but I'd highly recommend the Rock the Casbah pizza. It's a thin crust with red sauce, sausage, roasted red peppers, basil, and crushed red peppers. It's not especially spicy but I would order something else for kids. The price is a bit high but it's totally worth it! I'd also suggest going on Thursdays which I think is their pizza special day with BOGO 1/2 off.

A good local drop-in for a beer and a burger. Solid Americana with a classic rock soundtrack makes it a fun place for a meal. Sweet potato fries!

Food is good, service is excellent. I recommend the "rock the casbah" pizza. Only reason I don't rank it 5 stars is that the atmosphere is less than private, tables feel too close, and they don't offer much in the way of a cocktail. Owner very often there and checking with customers regarding service and satisfaction..

I like the Cove because it is super close to our house and we don't have that many options for casual dining in our neighborhood. The food is ultra-casual which is great if you're in a burger and fries kinda mood. The burgers are overdone though. Every time I order one, they don't ask how you want it done and it comes way too charred. I like mine on the upper end of medium, but they seem to only come WELL. The apps are good and the atmosphere is very small neighboorhood-ish. The sweet potato fries are AWESOME!! But please, guys- turn the country music down!!!! It's ok for a song or 2, but the last time I was in there we had to endure a whole album of really loud really unfortunate country - that ruined it for me =P

The description is slightly incorrect, this is a beer/wine/sake bar only - no hard alcohol. That being said, this is by FAR the coolest bar in Prior Lake/Savage area. Even as an outsider, everyone there was friendly and welcoming. I will be back next year when I venture back to MN for the holidays from the west coast. This place should be packed every weekend. Live music, cool people, great decor (extra points for posters featuring The English Beat, The Beatles, and Marley.) Someone called out Kraftwerk on the bar. That surprised me in an awesome way. I wasn't hungry, so didn't check out the food, but this place is fantastic, so I'm sure the food is just as great as the rest of the place. Support local music and head down to The Cove for a good night of hanging with friends, grabbing a bite, and listening to live music or just chatting with your neighbors.

Great burgers, great pizza and live acts on the weekends...and 2 buck PBR's. This place is about quality food and music and a great time.

For what it is, I dont think they could be any better. Service was good, food came fast and was hot and crispy. We got the jalapeno egg rolls which were awesome, and sweet potato fries, the dipping sauce was great. Burger was good, not the best I've had, my boyfriend liked his buffalo wings, not the best ever, but solid. We were here on a sunday afternoon and it was dead, which suited us fine since we're not into the bar scene. I would imagine this place gets crazy on a friday or saturday night in the summer.

The burgers here are fantastic!! I went basic and just had the California burger but can't wait to go back and try a different one! Cold beer and a burger, what more do you need?

This place is a hidden gem!!! Came here for the first time a month ago and were pleasantly surprised!! Had wings and burgers. The dry rub wings are awesome and the burgers were even better. If you like spicy, the hand made egg roll jalepeno poppers are great! Hand made fresh patties and fresh hand cut fries! It's hard to find quality fresh food and this place has it. Friendly staff, unique music world decor and a menu that is fun to read with all of the word play. Definitely recommend giving The Cove a try!!

We discovered this quaint family-owned pub this fall when the Prior Lake Pickleballers all decided to stop in. They were super accommodating about letting us rearrange tables to fit a pretty good-sized group. The only things we've tried so far are the pizzas and beer, but they're both outstanding and pretty reasonable. Good parking and a friendly wait staff. The owner stopped by one night to thank us and make sure everything was top notch.

I have been to The Cove Pub now several times and have never been disappointed. The burgers are the best! My favorite is the Firehouse Bacon Burger, and it has just enough spicy bite without being too hot. The service is a little slow, but it is worth the wait. The atmosphere is casual and probably falls into the divey category, but is very clean.

Had the barbecue pizza--very good, nice and crispy thin crust. Service was good and atmosphere is unique, but not in a bad way.

My last visit went like this: Overhearing the neighbor table ask for a glass of __ wine. Waitress "Oh, I'm sorry, I don't know why that's on the menu. We don't carry it anymore." Customer: "Ok, how about this one?" Waitress "we just ran out, I'm sorry". Customer: "You know what, I'll just take a captain coke." Waitress: "I'm sorry, we don't have hard liquor". My turn: "I'll have this special" (baileys advertised on a print ad on the table. Waitress: "I'm sorry - I don't know why that's still up. We don't have Baileys anymore". After our meal... My sister "I think someone dumped beer in the ketchup bottle". Me: "it'd be great if a pizza could be cooked evenly" (half-burnt)

I'm giving a 3 based on the all the meals my family received. My husband had a huge burger (I can't remember the name but it was a double burger and he had his choice of two cheeses). He said it was great. Cooked right and loved the sweet potato fries. My 3 year old had the mac & cheese which was an ample serving and was served with potato chips. She nearly cleaned the plate, so that means it was good. Though I'm not sure she's ever met a mac & cheese she hasn't liked. I had the Phish sandwich (walleye) which I wasn't thrilled with. I LOVE walleye, and living in Denver now it's a rarity and a treat for me. This was far too breaded and fried. The fish itself was fine, but I prefer a light breading . This was too crispy for my taste. I had sweet potato fries and they were great. I have specific dietary needs and the Cove doesn't offer salads, which would be my preference. I know I could order my burgers or walleye without a bun, but there also wasn't a non-potato option for a side with the sandwiches. Because I'm on vacation and have access to foods & restaurants we don't have in Denver I'm eating a few things I really shouldn't, though I still try to do my best to follow my dietary needs. Great beers on tap, great music and a fun environment. Bummed they were out of free kittens :)

Went there today on our way home and ordered three items from the menu. First came the cheese curds. They were wonderfully done and came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Secondly, there was the chicken nachos. The chicken was quite juicy and the cheese and sour cream they loaded on the nachos really brought the plate to perfection. Of course, olives and jalapeños came on top, not my favorite but I gave the whole dish a shot. After the three of us ate half of the nachos later, which came on an enormous plate, our group decided that the nachos were really a rare deal! Lastly, the pizza came out. We had ordered the 6 pack at 14". Thin crust, an excellent array of toppings and 75% of the pizza later, we were more than satisfied. The whole group was quite pleased with the food and beverages that The Cove had to offer. If you're ever in Prior Lake passing by The Cove, I would, without a doubt, recommend stopping in for a bite to eat here.

I love this dive. It's a Cheers type of place. I sit at the end of the bar sometimes - just like Norm. Play pool, listen to live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Great food for such a small place. Just wine and beer though.

Excellent burgers! One of the best we have had here. Their sweet potato fries are also really good. We always get the Nat King Cove. Great service. I have yet to try their pizza which is said to be amazing.
